"You are an outdoorsy kind of guy, right?" the picture editor asked on the phone. A few days later I found myself in muddy, tight cracks hundreds of meters inside a cave, following some badass cave explorers on the hunt for Neuland, streaks of never entered cave parts. We dove through siphons, pulling alongside fixed ropes, my watertight containers with my photographic equipment dangling along. We fought through cracks so tight you had to go in head first, arms to the side of your body, like some kind of mud worm. My trusty old D750 never got rid of the dirt, but I found a new exciting hobby.
